Shooting Star Award
Awards are a great form of encouragement but why wait until your child receives one at school, when you can reward them at home when they’ve achieved with a shooting star clipart award. Shooting star clipart awards are a lot of fun to make and your childrens eyes will sparkle like stars when they receive one.
Just the other day my friend emailed me and told that her daughters have been doing extremely well at school. They both had received awards with stars on them. One was for being the best student of the month and the other for improvements to her reading.
My friend was very proud of her children and I am sure she was gushing with excitement when her girls received their awards at assembly. Children like to be encouraged and a good way to reward them is for small things they do like picking up after themselves, feeding the dog or doing some type of chore really well.
Making handmade awards using clip art stars is so much fun, and it doesn’t require a lot of craft supplies. All that is needed is some colored or white card, printable shooting star clipart, scissors, glue and a pen. If you have glitter, borders or other embellishments you can pretty up the award even more.
Print of your shooting star clipart directly to card or if you prefer print it off onto plain paper, cut around the shooting star and stick it down with glue to the card.
The next thing is to write a few words of encouragement like, To ……….. Thank you for feeding the dog it has really helped mummy or daddy. Keep up the good work!
Just before your pick up the children from school place your shooting star clipart award on their pillow. I am sure when the star award is discovered they will be so excited. The star award might even encourage their siblings to be on their best behavior.

Blue Love Heart Clipart with Stars
Beeswax candles makes such an inexpensive housewarming or secret santa gift. A lot of the time beeswax candles are sold loosely with minimal or no packaging at all. A natural gift that smells so good should also look beautifully presented. Just a little splattering of clipart love hearts will make all the difference.
Beeswax candles come in a variety of shapes and sizes but the hand rolled variety that spirals will add interest to any table or mantle. You can also keep a few in the draw in case of power outages in the stormy season.
To dress up your beeswax candle print off any love heart or an assortment of love hearts and pick the most fitting clip art heart for the candle. If you shrink down the free heart image so it fits into a two centimeter wide strip you can print it off and wrap it around the bottom of the candle or candles.
Remember to trim the length of the strip to the right size and glue down the paper end. A glue stick will make less mess and will make the paper adhere much quicker. If you prefer a handmade gift tag you can download one from the Cards and Labels category on my blog and tie it with brown string to the candle.
The beeswax candle still retains it’s natural look and the love hearts add a cute minimalist touch.

Gold Star Border Heart
Free clipart is a lot of fun to design but just as fun to embellish new items with. If you have a couple of books lying around that look a bit worse for wear and need recovering or a new diary that looks plain they can easily be reinvented.
Books don’t need to look boring or ugly you can make them stand out by wrapping them in colored or white paper. To embellish the paper use free clip art borders and clipart on both sides of the cover. Print off the clipart images then, cut, arrange and paste them onto the covered school books.
For added protection buy some clear contact to stop the cover from ripping. If you have a personal or work diary you can also embellish the front cover. Don’t stop there as most diaries on the inside don’t have any character. Go crazy and stick clipart and free clip art borders on every page.
You can even make special days of the year like Valentines Day really stand by using free clip art borders and valentines day clipart. Let your diary and books ooze personality and show your friends how easy it is using free clip art borders.
