I Hate Rainy Weather
Our cats hate rain; we hate having cats when it rains. Every morning the cats play before they have breakfast, and their idea of playing means fighting, and running really fast around the room, and jumping into the air and often onto things such as tables, the fireplace, in fact anything that has other things on it that can be knocked over.
Our nerves get stretched to way past breaking point when this happens, and it is all 100% the fault of the weather Gods. On sunny days we just open the door and shoo them outside where they chases falling leaves, attack twigs, and chase each other all over the place.
After they’ve had breakfast they settle down fairly quickly, giving each other a wash then lie down in front of the heater and sleep for most of the day, until they wake up before dinner time and the whole thing starts all over again.
We’ve tried everything, giving them toys to play with, shouting at them, pinning them down on the couch next to us, even ignoring them, but none of it works, they just have too much energy and get into too much mischief. Sometimes I really wish they were all grown up, kittens are cute, but they can be such a handful.
