What does the American flag mean to you? When you see the American flag what thoughts come to mind? Are your thoughts of a religious nature, is it a celebration of life and family or do you remember the fallen who have protected America. On the Fourth of July,  this day marked the birth of America in gaining her freedom from the British. On the same day the Declaration of Independence was adopted and people were given basic rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. That’s why I am so proud to wear my American flag lapel pin.

A day of monumental importance where the American flag is flown and masses of people gather to watch fireworks, concerts and join in the celebrations to commemorate this glorious event.

Thanksgiving is another holiday where families come together and share a traditional meal of turkey, potatoes and pumpkin pie. On this day thanks is given to their families, friends, God or anyone who has touched their lives and made it plentiful. Even on Thanksgiving day the American flag is still in pride of place.
