Heart Shaped Flower Border
With Spring in the air it is the perfect time to buy a few strawberry plants for your own garden and give one away as a Spring gift with a border clipart embellishment. Strawberries will make a great gift because they taste wonderful freshly picked from the plant or prepared with a dribbling of chocolate and cream. To make your Strawberry gift POP, turn this border clipart graphic into a trendy pot plant spike.
For this border clipart project you will need one Strawberry plant, a small bag of potting mix, water, a container, scissors, color printer, paper, skewer, hot glue gun, clear adhesive (contact) and border clipart. Start your project by downloading this heart shaped flower border and reduce it’s size so it fits nicely with the container before printing.
To cut it out it’s easier if you draw another heart around this graphic as a scissor guide to keep a nice even heart shape. If you prefer you can follow the shape of the heart and be careful not to cut the red petals. Once your happy with your cutting efforts cover both sides of the heart clipart with contact so it’s waterproof. Try and leave a 2mm edge of contact around your clipart border in the shape of the heart. This way your border clipart pot plant spike will still look cutesy.
To glue your handmade plant spike together you’ll need to plug in your glue gun to heat it up. While the glue gun is warming make sure your skewer has only one sharp end. Heart clipart with flowers
Today I was riding my bicycle in the countryside and I happened to notice the Almond trees and Iris’s were in flower. They looked so beautiful with their precious flowers in bloom. When I got home from my bicycle ride I couldn’t resist the temptation, I had to design free heart clipart with flowers.
There are two hearts to this vector clip art graphic one being purple, the color of the Iris’s, and the other a nice burnt orange to emulate the red soil.
Surrounding the top of the vector clip art heart is a series of vines with pink, blue a green scattered flowers. Having seen some of my favorite flowers today this free heart clipart graphic needed some small cutesy flowers.

Carnations and Alyssum
Spanish style homes are wonderful because the window ledges are quite wide and deep so I am able to protect my plants from the harsh sun and create beautiful displays.
There is nothing more spectacular than walking past a window filled with flowers and then noticing an exquisite scent in the air. If you’re limited by the design of your abode, just ignore the names given to pots or trays, and don’t limit yourself to exactly the right type of window box. Instead, just pop your plants anywhere you have space.
Using your outdoor area as an extension of your home will make for a nice change being stuck indoors. Take the time out and enjoy the stunning area you created.
Experiment with different flower types, colours and trailing and upright varieties. One of my favourite window box creations is sweet white Alyssum as a border plant and beautiful scented carnations. The Alyssum smells as sweet as honey and the carnations smell of musk.
Window boxes look so beautiful from both sides of the window. When you’re not outside enjoying the scent and visual display, open your windows and enjoy the sweet scent drifting through the house which is a natural deodoriser.
