I like to think I’m a very open person, I treat others as they come, and I don’t care very much what their sexual preferences are, but I do care when people live a lie which only hurts them more in the long run.
So this morning seeing the news that both Lindsay Lohan and Clay Aiken have finally come out seems like such great news for them. All that angst of covering up their private lives must now be like a weight off their shoulders.
Imagine being so afraid of coming out because your fans, or family might be annoyed and reject you. On the other hand I can totally understand the need of these people to protect their secrets, after all when you’re a celebrity the press can be merciless.
So I’d like to wish both Lindsay Lohan and Clay Aiken the very best for their futures. I sincerely hope that Lindsay and her partner do take a stand because they’ll be great role models for other young women who are gay.
Clay Aiken having a son through medical intervention with a good friend is obviously going to settle him and allow him to ground his career and private life, and I think is the right decision to come out now. His son and all the people in Clay’s life need to know this important detail, and now they can support him properly as he deserves.

Madonna
How does she do it? At 50 years old Madonna still looks gorgeous, has more energy than most people half her age, and she still sounds fantastic. I am so jealous.
Madonna is starting her latest world tour off in the UK, and each show is 2 hours of high energy hits from her whole career, including ‘Like a Prayer’, ‘Ray of Light’, ‘La Isla Bonita’ and loads more.
I know she’s a very wealthy lady and she can afford the best trainers and beauty regime, but even so it can’t all be about money can it? I’d like to think I can still look good at 50 without all that cash. Of course it does need discipline to keep working out.
Can’t wait to see her when she gets to this part of the world. I saw her perform years ago, back in the early 90’s and she was spectacular then, and now she has an even bigger catalog of songs to choose from, and some of her latest tracks have been very good. Different from her younger days, but as I get older as well I appreciate her newer music more.
It’s all over the news here in Spain, Rafa Nadal is now ranked world number one for mens tennis. His performances lately have been nearly faultless and winning gold in the Beijing Olympics means he has pushed Roger Federer out of the number one spot.
After the Olympics he goes on to the US Open, Federer is defending but Nadal seems ufazed, on TV here he’s been saying he’s looking forward to meeting Federer again since he still sees Federer as the best player in the world who could easily dethrone him.
Every time we see Nadal play he seems to be a great sport, sure he enjoys his victories but he also praises the other players and he seems so humble accepting his visctory.
I hope he continues to play like a gentleman and that his winning streak doesn’t end.
For the longest time I’ve been telling the man to stop eating all that junk food he likes, loads of bread, sweets, chocolotates, coffee that sort of thing.
Today the BBC ran a report on Michael Phelps diet at the Olympics, can you believe this guy eats 10000 calories a day?
This is his breakfast, three fried egg sandwiches; cheese; tomatoes; lettuce; fried onions; mayonnaise; three chocolate-chip pancakes; five-egg omelette; three sugar-coated slices of French toast; bowl of grits; two cups of coffee
Then for lunch he has half-kilogram (one pound) of enriched pasta; two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayonnaise on white bread; energy drinks
And for dinner, half-kilogram of pasta, with carbonara sauce; large pizza; energy drinks.
Apparently the white bread and pasta is converted to energy almost immediately and he needs that to keep winning medal after medal whereas foods with more fat in them take much longer to digest and release their energy over a longer period of time.
Now how do I make sure my man doesn’t read the BBC story?
