Vector clip art can be a simple piece of clip art or it can be so complex, it could be a vector art masterpiece. Designing free vector clipart is a good way to build up your skills and portfolio before you look at selling your images through a Stock Image site.
Depending on the complexity of the vector art graphic some might feel it’s too good to give away. This where a Stock Image site makes it possible for digital artists to sell their vector art. If your vector art is fresh and is what the customer is looking for you have a pretty good chance selling your art.
Every stock site is different but generally they will require three examples of the type of art you create. This process can take a while so try not to put all your eggs into the one basket. Join up with a few of them if you can. Just make sure you’re not breaking the rules when you do this as some sites require exclusivity to your images. All I can say is read the terms and conditions before joining and submitting your vector clip art.
In some cases your vector art might not be accepted, even though it’s beautifully designed. It might be that you and many artists alike have a similar style or it’s not what they’re looking for. Finding the middle ground is always the hard part, but don’t let this get you down. Grunge Clipart Heart with Flowers
When shopping in the supermarket for jam or spreads it’s sometimes possible to pickup these items in a reusable drinking glass. They might not be the prettiest, but they still serve their purpose in and around the home. If you prefer not to drink from them, they can also be used as small flower vases or water glasses for craft projects. To turn a cheap glass into a pretty handmade gift you can use, this free clipart heart to decorate the outside.
To prepare your glass you need to clean the glass making sure the old label and glue has been fully removed. A good way of doing this is to soak the glass in warm soapy water for the dishes. Make sure the glass is completely dry and streak free, then set it aside.
For your glass you can choose any piece of free clipart or you can use the one in this post. To make this project you’ll need transparent adhesive paper for the computer, colored ink for your printer and scissors for cutting around your clipart heart graphic.
Simply print off your heart clipart, onto adhesive paper and cut around the graphic. If you like you can go clip art crazy and fill the outside of the glass with free clip art graphics.
This project can certainly turn any boring glass into a unique piece of drinking art. Just think every glass in your cupboard could look very different. The great thing about this is if one glass breaks you don’t have to worry about spoiling the set.
To stick down the clipart heart be sure you stick down one edge first then slowly work your way to avoid capturing bubbles. If you’ve trapped bubbles and you can’t get them out, try using a pin to gently pierce the adhesive. Rub your thumb over the area with a little pressure to flatten out the sticker. This should smooth out the sticker and your glass should look funky.

Black and White Heart Clip Art Pinwheel
Have you ever rented an apartment or house and felt like it was lacking character? Sometimes it’s not possible to paint your home in your desired choice of color as your landlords prefer white or neutral tones. Prints can be expensive at the best times, and more so if it’s an original masterpiece painted in acrylic, oils or pastels. Painting your own clip art masterpiece will be a lot of fun and you get to choose the medium and style that suits your furnishings. If you don’t like to paint you can buy still buy an already stretched canvas and use ripped up black and white paper to make a collage. You can use my black and white clip art and simply redraw the image with a pencil directly onto the primed canvas. Fill in the blanks with the ripped black and white paper by gluing them to the canvas, craft glue should do the trick.
