Who can resist they idea of decorating a cheap notebook with printable  free border clip art? Not me, so the other day I bought myself a small notebook so I could jot down all my design ideas. A cheap notebook is great except the front cover was less than pretty,  so with in mind I made myself a new cover with a sprinkling of free border clip art.

If you would live to give your notebook a free clip art sprinkling, all you need is a few craft supplies, a little know how and this lovely free border. If you love lilac or the color purple these cute purple hearts are decorated with white stars and sit on a stripe of purple with a lilac background.

To get your project notebook underway you will need: one cheap notebook, thick natural colored card to cover the notebook, scissors, glue stick, ruler, pencil, a colored printer and free border clip art. Read more »

Have you got a whole pile photos that aren’t your best shots but you don’t want to throw them away either? If you do, then you can use a clip art red heart shaped border to turn your photos into an amazing photo collage that can be mounted into a picture frame and fix it to the wall.

To make your photos pop simply print off this clip art red heart shaped border. You might want to scale the border down so it fits nicely over the photos. Once printed wait for the ink to dry as were going to poke a hole in the center of the heart with the scissors so we can cut it out. Cut the center out carefully trying not to bend the card.

Put the glossy red heart to one side but make sure it’s close enough as you will need to measure it against your photos. Some photos won’t be suitable for this paper craft project because the subject will be too close to the edges of the photos.

Having sifted through all the photos you’ve probably found a nice collection to work with. To add a little interest you could make the hearts different sizes to make your photo collage look really eye catching.

It might be an idea to cut the photos down to size as the weight of them might rip the paper. Once the photos are trimmed, tape the photos to the back of the heart borders. Choose some nice crisp white backing for the photo frame and trim it down to fit in the frame. Remove the backing paper from the frame and place the red heart shaped borders on top. Start by moving them around until your happy with the way the collage looks.

Use some double sided tape to secure the red hearts to the backing paper. Pick up the collage carefully and turn it face down and place it inside the picture frame. Secure the backing and Viola! You now have your very own border clipart photo collage.

Finish off the paper project by securing the backing to the frame and then choose a nice spot on the wall where everyone can enjoy your border clipart photo collage.

Do you have a stack of printer paper that you don’t know what to do with? If you do, you can always use some of it to make printable writing paper, page borders, page frames  and even  page dividers. To make these amazing paper creations all you need is free border clipart, a printer, colored ink and printer paper.

Free border clipart can transform your printer paper into stylish printable writing paper in a cinch by following these steps below:

Step 1: Choose free border clipart that is to your taste and maybe themed for a particular occasion. For instance, you could write a romantic letter to your sweetheart, or maybe to your Valentine using this border that contains love heart clipart.

Step 2: Download your PNG graphic to your desktop so it’s easy for you to find and work with later.

Step 3: Make any size alterations if need be, position the clip art on the page and once your happy with the layout print and hey presto you now have printable writing paper.

If you’re a prolific writer you can never have enough writing paper on hand. Try mixing it up a little and use free border clipart as page borders by decorating one or two sides of the page. Page dividers can also be used separately to give your page a minimalist look. With Spring in the air it is the perfect time to buy a few strawberry plants for your own garden and give one away as a Spring gift with a border clipart embellishment. Strawberries will make a great gift because they taste wonderful freshly picked from the plant or prepared with a dribbling of chocolate and cream. To make your Strawberry gift POP, turn this border clipart graphic into a trendy pot plant spike.

For this border clipart project you will need one Strawberry plant, a small bag of potting mix, water, a container, scissors, color printer, paper, skewer, hot glue gun, clear adhesive (contact) and border clipart. Start your project by downloading this heart shaped flower border and reduce it’s size so it fits nicely  with the container  before printing.

To cut it out it’s easier if you draw another heart around this graphic as a scissor guide to keep a nice even heart shape. If you prefer you can follow the shape of the heart and be careful not to cut the red petals. Once your happy with your cutting efforts cover both sides of the heart clipart with contact so it’s waterproof. Try and leave a 2mm edge of contact around your clipart border in the shape of the heart. This way your border clipart pot plant spike will still look cutesy.

To glue your handmade plant spike together you’ll need to plug in your glue gun to heat it up. While the glue gun is warming  make sure your skewer has only one sharp end. If your skewers has two sharp ends just cut one off  with a pair of gardening snips. This will make your border clipart pot plant spike safer and more so if you have children and or pets in the home.
