Other people's children

I should start by saying I don't have kids of my own, but I'm also not an old biddie, we're just not ready to start a family yet, so why do I get so annoyed with other people's children.

We live in a town house type complex where each house has its own patio overlooking a communal garden and swimming pool, and its is there that the holiday makers let their kids scream and shout and generally be annoying.

This morning we had to deal with two little terrors who were running around with giant water guns which they were refilling from the pool and then shooting each other with. Except they weren't just shooting each other, they were also shooting all the plants.

Now kids don't understand how bad that is, but why aren't their parents keeping control of them. The water in the pool is filled with Chlorine and other nasty chemicals that kill plants.

Yesterday these same brats were bouncing a ball on the concrete and it was like a drum banging being one of those inflatable pool balls. What a terrible noise!

But the worst of all of this is the constant yelling at their parents to get their attention so they can show off. The parents have obviously learned to tune out, but spare a thought for the those of us who don't want to be disturbed by other people's kids!
