OK lets begin by clearing a space on the table so we can make the best paper airplanes.

1. Lets begin by making the first fold along the red dotted line. The paper airplane should look like it’s folded in half length ways. The red line should be on the outside of the the piece of paper.

2. Take your paper airplanes to fold and color and unfold it then lay it flat on the table in front of you. Make sure the big stars are at the top of the page.

3. Make a fold along the yellow dotted line so the bottom edge of the paper ends up being folded along the red center line. Do the same to the other side.

4. Keeping the paper on the same side, fold the edge with the yellow dotted line over to meet up with the center of the red dotted line. Make sure the fold is straight.

You will notice the paper will want to fold all the way. Just hold the yellow dotted edge on the red dotted line and smooth the paper over with your hand.

If you’re confused you will see a purple dotted line this is the line you should be using as a guide to make this fold. If the fold is not exact it doesn’t matter. Make the same fold on the other side. You’re almost finished folding your paper airplanes!

5. This is your last fold! Take the long edge with the purple dotted line and fold it over to meet the red dotted centre line. Press along the whole fold. Repeat this fold on the other side.

Wow, your paper airplanes to fold and color are ready to go on their first flight. If you’ve never flown paper airplanes before it’s a real easy to learn. First of all the wings of this paper airplane should have the purple and green dotted lines around them.

To fly your paper airplanes you’ll need to hold the airplane together by putting your thumb on one side and two fingers on the other side of folds just underneath the wings. Try not to hold it firm as you don’t want to bend the airplane.

To make your paper airplanes fly just hold it out to the side of you in line with your shoulder. With a little force use the same action like you’re throwing a ball but aim the plane in a straight line. Just let it go when your arm has just about straightened in front of you.

Just see how far your paper airplanes can really fly. Remember to always fly them somewhere safe and not to aim them at your brother, sister or friends because you could hurt them.
