Christmas Stars to Color or Paint

Christmas Stars to Color or Paint

Sometimes children tend to miss the opportunity to star gaze because it’s way past their bedtime. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if your children could experience star gazing from the comfort of their own bed using printable star coloring pages?

Turning your child’s bedroom into a star gazing experience is relatively easy if you have a printer, scissors, fishing line, glow in the dark paint, craft paint rollers, a hole punch, clear adhesive tape and printable star coloring pages for this paper craft project.

To make your child’s room glow just download the black and white printable star coloring pages and print. Print as many worksheets as you need to make their room look like the night’s sky.

If the children want to help make their room look star amazing, make sure they’re wearing old clothes or a paint smock. Start by dipping the roller into the paint, and roll it around a few times on some scrap paper to get an even coating. Place the star worksheet face up and go head and paint the stars with the glow in the dark paint.

Once the printable star coloring pages has been painted and are dry, simply cut out the stars and make sure the kids are supervised when they do so. If you have child safe scissors that would be even better. With all the stars having been cut, use the hole punch to punch a hole near the tip of a star. This way you can thread and tie different lengths of fishing line easily.

Thread and tie all the stars so you can stick them to the ceiling in one go. Once the  stars are stuck to the ceiling you should have plenty of time to clean up the mess and possibly the kids too.

When the evening comes to an end and it’s time to put the kids to bed, spend a few a little time with them as they enjoy their new star gazing room made from printable star coloring pages.

If the kids enjoy coloring pages they can use the same printable star coloring pages to make star decorations for the Christmas tree.
