Clipart Star Princess Wand
Every girl who wants to be a princess loves to dress up in a pretty princess dress and carry a princess wand. If your little girl has the princess dress and has misplaced her wand, cheer her up by making a paper craft clipart star princess wand.
Making a clipart star princess wand is a fun mother daughter project. Just think how pretty it will look with rhinestones, glitter glue and some ribbon attached. If you like you might want to make two wands so you can craft together. Having two clipart star princess wands means your daughter can invite a friend over and they can play princesses together.
To make a clipart star princess wand you will need to download the star clipart by right mouse clicking and choosing the “Save As” option. To print it out you will need thick white card that your printer can withstand. The card needs to be thick so when your daughter prances around the star will stay rigid and not flop around.
Don’t panic if you don’t have thick card on hand as this free clipart star can easily be printed onto standard printer paper. To make it rigid just glue it to a piece of cardboard from a muesli box. How easy is that!
If your not printing directly onto card it might be an idea to use a glue stick as the drying time is vastly reduced. While the glue and or ink is drying it’s time to organize the wand. Go for a little walk in the garden or take your daughter to the park so you can collect a fairly smooth stick for the wand. If your a keen gardener a small plant stake will do the trick.
When you get back home press down on the clip art star and see if it’s still wet, if so leave it a little longer. This is the perfect time to rummage around and find those beautiful embellishments so the clipart star princess wand will sparkle with rhinestones, ribbon, buttons etc. Make sure you have a glue gun on hand so the small embellishments can be secured properly. For young children it might be a good idea to avoid small embellishments. The wand will still look just as pretty with its pink layered stars, white polka dots and a cute pink heart as the center piece.
You will notice the wand has been designed with little white dots just below all the points on the star. These spots can be used for decoration or you can glue little rhinestones in place. Alternatively the dots can be whole punched and ribbon tassels attached to make the clipart star princess wand dance in the breeze.
Once the princess wand has been beautifully decorated and it’s dry use the hot glue gun to glue the wand to the back of the star clipart. The glue will dry fairly quickly and in no time your daughter will be prancing with delight with her clipart star princess wand.
*Please supervise your children as a harmless princess wand can be used to hurt each other.
