Guess what my other half got for his birthday, no idea, I'll give you a clue; It's pink and takes photos.
Now you might wonder why I got him a pink Canon camera, well for one thing we both really like Canon cameras, it's a brand new model so has all the bells and whistles, and well, I like pink. I know it isn't a very manly color but oh well, this is the 21st century and it makes the perfect accessory when I borrow it, grin!
I also got him a nice red Lowepro case that clips to his belt for carrying around his new camera, which of course makes him feel very important, it's funny, you should see how many times he pats his waist to make sure the camera is still there, he's all proud as punch having it, but his you know whats shrink to the size of peas when he takes it out to use it, aw, my poor lovable man.
Here's an example of the quality of the other half's new pink Canon IXUS, wonderful isn't it? He took this in our local garden center while I was picking out some pelargoniums and lavender for our courtyard. He never did make a note of the name of the flower and I've never seen one of these before so I have no idea either.
My main camera is a Canon EOS 400d, but the IXUS 80 makes a great point and shoot for when we just go out and don't want a larger camera with us. In addition, it has a great macro mode for when we want to take photos of flowers or insects. He uses it to snap manhole covers, a hobby I don't understand, and of course cars or scooters he sees parked in the street, but for me it's a great camera to have when we go shopping. I can snap shoes or other accessories I think might go well with other items in my wardrobe then check the colors when I get home.
Ladies this is a good reason to have one of these cameras, they are super tiny and make a great shopping tool. The other way round would be to lay a couple of outfits out on your bed, photograph them, then just look at them on the screen when you go shopping to make sure the shoes, scarves, bags etc will suit the outfit you plan to wear them with. This is what being a lady in the 21st century should be all about. And as for my other half, well he forgave me a couple of seconds after getting his new camera.
