Retro Heart Clipart

Retro Heart Clipart

Did you know that you can download Free Clipart and use the graphics to make up your Scrapbooking pages! Yes that’s right, you can layer or arrange clipart in such a way to create pretty borders, backgrounds or even themed pages. Making up a themed page is relatively easy, if you can find printable themed clipart. If you like Scrapbooking and Clipart why not combine both paper crafts and create this new theme scrapbooking with retro clipart.

Start by collecting photo’s of your family wearing 60’s or 70’s retro clothing. If  there’s too many to choose from you can always make a two or more page layout. To make up your page you will need your Scrapbooking album, colored paper, scissors, mounting tape and anything else you can think of.

First you’ll need to cover the whole page with orange colored paper. Choose a light color that is similar to one of the smaller hearts in the clip art provided. Cut a chocolate brown strip of paper about four centimeters wide and exactly the same height as your Scrapbooking page. Vertically align your brown paper about two centimeters away from the edge and fix it to the page.

Resize the heart clipart so it fits nicely into the brown strip of paper. Print off three hearts exactly the same size onto white acid free paper. Cut around the edges of the heart making sure you cut on the inside of the heart. If you cut carefully the hearts should still keep the same shape as we want the edges of the heart to be orange not white.

Space the hearts out evenly, along the brown strip of paper. When you’re happy with the way the hearts look you can stick them down normally or with mounting tape. Sticking down free clip art with mounting tape will make scrapbooking with retro clipart look 2D.

Jazz up the rest of the page with some sparkling glitter, journal about the retro event and your scrapbooking page will  look groovy with your retro theme design.

To download your scrapbooking with retro clipart graphic just save the heart to your computer by right clicking on the heart and select the “Save As” option.
