Pixabella02 Free HTML Template

Pixabella02 HTML Template Screenshot
Pixabella02
Pixabella02 is my second free HTML template. The inspiration for this template came from watching the movie Chocolat starring Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp. Since watching Chocolat I've finally tried chocolate with chili, OMG, chocolate just got better!

So, enough distraction, back to the template which is valid XHTML transitional, and includes two page types, a regular html page, and a blog template page. Modifying Pixabella02 for your needs shouldn't be too difficult, a simple text editor will do nicely. See my HTML tutorial for more info.

Tutorial: Creating a Simple HTML Webpage

First HTML Page
First HTML Page
Are you new to HTML and CSS style sheets? Kick back for a moment and read this simple HTML tutorial which takes you from knowing nothing to creating a simple webpage with some pictures and text. What you learn in the next few minutes will give you the knowledge needed to open and understand many of the wonderful HTML templates currently available free to download.

What do you need to be able to create and edit websites? Many people will tell you to invest in software such as Dreamweaver or Frontpage, and that these will allow you to create a webpage to be proud of. This is true, but in this tutorial we're going to use a basic text editor, such as Notepad for our Windows readers or TextEdit for Mac users. These are free, they actually come bundled with your Operating System, and HTML isn't that complex that we need to worry about buying expensive software right now. And anyway, with so many free templates available online, most people only need a text editor to insert their own content, so without any further rambling from me, click to read on.

Pixabella01 HTML Template Released

Screenshot Pixabella01 Free HTML Template
Pixabella01
Today marks the rebirth of pixabella.com with the release of my first free HTML Template. I originally released this as 'Ceejay01' for the Serendipity blog engine, and it proved an immediate hit with countless users, many of whom customised the design with their own images whilst staying true to the original design. The success of pixabella01 in the Serendipity world also encouraged me to release the template for Blogger and Thingamablog users.

This release, which is renamed pixabella01 is just the first of many HTML Templates that I plan to release, all of which will be free to download. Some design elements have been improved and the template is valid XHTML transitional. Two HTML pages are included within the zipfile, the first is ideally suited to a personal or small business website, whilst the second would normally be used for blog or news sites.

Over the next few days I hope to start writing some tutorials on basic HTML and Stylesheet editing for novice webmasters who want to know how to adapt any HTML template to their needs.

Finally, here's the link to the pixabella01 zipfile. Thanks for your support, and feel free to comment below if you use this template on your site.

Pixabella.com to be relaunched end of September 2007

Exciting News
Over the next couple of weeks pixabella.com will be relaunched. I've decided to concentrate on creating HTML Templates which will be available for free download.

The decision to do this was an easy one for me to make, I really enjoy drawing and photography, and using a combination of Adobe's Creative Suite and the Open Source Inkscape and Gimp packages, I'm managing to produce some rather nice artwork for templates.

My older templates that were created for the Serendipity blog engine will be converted to valid XHTML templates first, then I'll be releasing some new templates, and writing a few tutorials on customising the templates, and possibly some general introductions to basic HTML and CSS.

Please bookmark this site (Control-D) and be sure to visit again. Thanks for your support.
