Medicinal Chamomile Tea

In the past Chamomile tea was one of those items that I would pass by in the supermarket but never buy. Although I love the smell of Chamomile I still haven't acquired the taste for it in tea.

A few months ago my friend made up a Chamomile tea bath for my eye as I couldn't open and close it due to a bite. With a cool chamomile compress and bathing my eye it reduced the pain almost immediately.

For three days I bathed my eye and by the third day the bite had almost disappeared. Since this incident I always have Chamomile tea in my kitchen cupboard for guests and medical emergencies.

With four fluffy bundles of joy arriving on my doorstep, three days ago I have been using Chamomile tea to tend to their eyes. Three days into their care the kittens are gaining weight, are very active and their eyes are showing signs of clearing. I hope with regular eye baths and improving health their immune systems have a better chance to fight this infection.
