Before I relaunched Pixabella (this website) I had been writing about photography, my favourite hobby. My flickr account is coming along really well, and the desktop background on my Mac is constantly changing with photos I've taken.
The next project is to get some photos printed out and hung on the wall in my bedroom, maybe a couple in the hallway, and definitely several in the living room on my little side tables. I also want to send some photos to family in time for Christmas.
So, anyway I'm happily chatting to whatsisname and he says why not look at those digital frame thingys. What is a digital frame thingy I asked. Oh, it turns out it's a
digital photo frame, which seems like an excellent idea.
I couldn't believe how many different styles and sizes are available, from little bedside frames, all the way up to frames about the size of a computer monitor. And all you have to do is download the photos you want to display.
At least I know what I'll be getting my best friend for Christmas, and I'll be filling it with photos of her at her worst, sort of like a nightmare wake-up call. Just imagine the look of horror every morning when she opens her eyes and sees herself all sweaty and puffy after an intense yoga workout. Hope she doesn't return the favour.
Or maybe I'll just be nice and give her a bunch of really uplifting photos of us having fun, being carefree, and enjoying life, maybe with a few of my inspirational animal photos as well. That way she'll never want to lie the frame down on its face. Yup, that sounds like a much better idea for my best friend.
