I've often wondered if restaurants get their furniture like tables and chairs from the same type of shops we get home furniture from, but they always seem to have stuff that I never see in any showroom.
Well now I know, they actually get their fixtures from dedicated food court furniture showrooms that consumers probably never visit. Contract Furniture Company actually have two showrooms, one in Los Angeles, and the other in New York.
They carry a really nice range of wrought iron, wood, resin, and other furniture and are able to match these to the restaurant look at affordable prices.
My assumption is that prices are lower because most restaurants and take away places will be buying more than just one set, and I guess they probably even custom order fixtures to match their decor, at least that seems to be the case in the restaurants I usually eat at.
Quality standards seem high, and this is because restaurants need heavier duty furniture than we might use in the home, they need to be easy to clean, and if something becomes damaged it should be possible to replace an item without having to worry about the entire dining area.
In fact, Contract Furniture Company supply more than just tables and chairs, they also stock umbrella bases, cushions, outdoor heaters, and special event seating.
